Wheels Up for Kids Gala
On Saturday, May 18th, the Middletown Airport Hangar will come alive like never before for the first annual “Wheels Up for Kids Gala” presented by Destination Sky Corporation. Destination Sky is one of the first nonprofits focused around aviation for students with special needs and other medical conditions in the United States. Their motto is to “empower children to reach their fullest potential, dream big and reach beyond the sky.”
The Destination Sky team also documents their findings to hospitals when it comes to medical research around drone and innovative technologies with children with fine motor skills as well as students with disabilities. It is their hope that the research that is extracted from Destination Sky’s curriculum and programs will result in positive changes in the medical community for generations to come.
