Pyramid Hill Summer Series for Kids

Specialized events for children, aged 5 through 12. These events are programs designed by local educators, artists , nd staff members to offer entertaining, interactive and educational experiences for students and adults. The programs are free with paid admission and free to members. Daycare organizations and summer schools are welcome and should call for information and registration. Programs start at noon and last about an hour.

June 21 – Pollinator Partners
Join us to learn about the importance of pollinators. Figure out how bees communicate, and what catches the eye of a butterfly. To end out the program make your own pollinator artwork to take home. Presented by Butler Soil and Water Conservation District.

Basic Orienteering at Hueston Woods

Meet at the Indian Mound in the Campground to learn to navigate with a map and compass. Be prepared to go off-trail; long pants are recommended.

 

June Events in Butler CountyWest Chester Touch a Truck

Cool trucks bring out the kid in all of us. Each year, West Chester flings open the garage doors and shares with the community all of the cool trucks and vehicles that serve our community every day.

Fire trucks, police vehicles, snow plows, military vehicles, helicopters, rescue boats and more line the streets on The Square @ Union Centre. Feel free to climb behind the wheel, sit in the shovel of the backhoe and speak with the men and women who operated the equipment essential to community operations.  This event, presented by First Financial Bank, is completely free. Plan to spend a couple hours and then enjoy lunch at one of West Chester’s nearby restaurants.

 

Stargazing at Huffman Park

Enjoy the fourth Friday of every month gazing at the stars. With help from the Cincinnati Astronomical Society and their telescopes, you will be able to take an up-close look at the moon, planets, and stars that fill the night sky.
