Fourth of July fireworks, festival at VOA Museum

July 2-4, 2021

The National Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting and MetroParks of Butler County co-host a Fourth of July weekend event with fireworks as the grand finale.

Taps, Tastes and Tunes is moving to the VOA Museum as the West Chester community’s celebration of Independence Day. The 2021 festival includes live music, great food, cold beverages, craft vendors and activities for the whole family.

Enjoy free admission all weekend:

“The community is invited to celebrate our country’s Independence on the grounds of the Voice of America where the cry for democracy was shouted to the world,” said West Chester Trustee Ann Becker. “Food, music, fireworks, and fellowship – the best way to celebrate our freedom.”

West Chester Township presents Fourth of July Fireworks beginning around 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 4. The launch site will be at VOA where fireworks were last launched about 20 years ago.

“We are excited to host this Fourth of July event,” said Director of the Voice of America Museum of Broadcasting Jack Dominic. “What better place than the VOA Museum’s Bethany Station, where radio broadcasts were beamed around the world proclaiming our country’s dedication to freedom, equality and democracy.”

Parking will be available nearby at the Athletic Field Complex and UC Health/West Chester Hospital Fieldhouse at VOA Park, 7850 VOA Park Drive.

The Taps, Tastes and Tunes festival is a ColdIron Productions, LLC event offered in cooperation with VOA Park and for the benefit of VOA Museum. The Chamber Alliance of West Chester/Liberty is a community partner in the event.
