Do you like food?  Then consider your Friday plans made. The Union Centre Boulevard Merchants Association in West Chester is hosting their annual Food Truck Rally this Friday.  It is open from 11:30am for lunch and closes at 10:30pm with an amazing fireworks show.

The event will take place at the Square in West Chester off of Union Centre Boulevard near the West Chester Library.

Food truck are one of the biggest trends happening in the country.  It gives food creators a chance to specialize in a handful of amazing food or drink items – perfecting their signature dish.  When all the food trucks come together to rally, it is a treat – the best of the best are represented.

Every craving is represented. This year you will find food trucks for sweet treats like Rhino’s Frozen Yogurt, streepops, Funnel Vision and many more.  You will also find savory specialists like Bones Bros. Wings, Rovey’s Turkey Burgers, Slice Slice Baby and a ton of others.

Many of the owners of the food trucks are families, sharing family recipes or long time friends starting a small business.  We get a taste of their passion for what they do, through the food.  Supporting new and local business.

Check out the full list of vendors on the West Chester Township website.

In addition to food, the Rally will have live music and fun for the kids. Live musical acts are:

Chuck Evans: Acoustic Guitarist, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Tom Kaper, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
3 Day Rule, from 5 to 7 p.m.
DV8, from 7:30 to 10:15 p.m. (fireworks start at 10:15 p.m.)

Hats off to the UCBMA – the proceeds for this event, which will draw more than 10,000, go to the Heros’ Fund.  The fund assists local combat veterans and their families who are facing financial hardship.
