Are you looking for something to do with your family this weekend?
The Shandon Old Fashioned Strawberry Festival is hosting its 92nd annual event this year! It will be taking place this Saturday, June 10, beginning at 10:00 AM, lasting until 5:00 PM. The festival is located at 4782 Cincinnati Brookville Rd. Hamilton, Ohio. Admission and parking for the event are free of charge.
If you question how this local event would be fun for families and children to attend, just ask general store antique manager, Jerry Stehlin.”It’s fun for families because there’s a lot to do! We have a trolley that goes up and down the street… that usually goes pretty well,” Stehlin said. “Kids really enjoy that.”
Along with all the traditional festivities, there are many additional attractions you can expect to see at the annual Shandon Strawberry Festival. Jerry Stehlin stated that nearly half of a mile from the location of this event, taking place at the Salty Dog Car Museum, they will be hosting an antique car show. More than 40 outside vendors will be present to the Shandon Strawberry Festival, all throughout the field and down the road of the event. The 11th Annual Antique Tractor show and parade will be starting about noon, according to Stehlin. There will be music played by organ. Food, beverages, shortcake, and of course strawberries will be available at the old Fire House/Periwinkle House from 9:00 AM until 3 PM, along with many more festivities that you will have to go to see for yourself!
