Obituary for Edward Lee Fowler
Edward Lee Fowler, of West Chester, Ohio, went to be with His Lord Thursday, May 21, 2020, his 82nd birthday. He was born Saturday, May 21, 1938 in Newark, Ohio to James Edward and Clare Madeline (nee DeLancey) Fowler.
Ed was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He married his sweetheart, Joan L. Tidwell, on October 18, 1958 and together, they worked hard to provide a home full of love and laughter. After 40 years of dedicated service, Ed retired from the Ford Motor Company.
Being with family and those he loved was important to Ed as he cherished opportunities to build lasting memories. Church was a priority for him and often volunteered when he was able to. Ed enjoyed riding his bike and looked forward to every opportunity he could get out on the open pavement.
Ed will forever be cherished by those that knew and loved him.
Ed was preceded in death by: parents, James and Clare Fowler; and sisters, Mary Fowler and Catherine Fowler.
Ed is survived by: his loving wife of almost 62 years, Joan L. Fowler; children, Tammy (Mark) Ransick, E. Todd (Maureen) Fowler, and Judy (Doug) Wallace; grandchildren, Daniel (Angie) Ransick, Laura (Justin) Tenhover, Rachel (Nick) Ransick, Austin Fowler, Rebecca (Nick) Zaccaria, Claire Fowler, Amy (Kyle) Wallace, Alex (Kaitlin) Wallace, and Anna (Rick) Wallace; 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Blust; and many loving family members and friends.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the family has thoughtfully decided to have a memorial service to celebrate Ed's life at a later date. At that time, they hope to honor his service to our country with military honors. Please check back for further details
