Maple Syrup Festival at Hueston Woods
Weekends, March 4-5 & 11-12 from 8am-4pm
All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast at the Lodge Trailblazer Dining Room – 8:00AM to 1:00PM Adults/$6 Kids 10 & Under/$5. Maple Syrup Tours – Noon to 4:0PM.
Begin with a hayride at the Pioneer Farm on Brown Road next to the Golf Course. Enjoy a hike through the “Big Woods” a designated State Nature Preserve, and learn the art of maple syrup production as well as the cultural and natural history of the area. Food, beverage, and maple syrup with be on sale throughout the day. Visit the Nature Center – 10:00AM to 4:30PM Tour our indoor/outdoor exhibits of reptiles, birds of prey and more!
J.D. Vance: From Middletown to the Bestseller List: The Reality of the American Dream

J.D. Vance, Middletown native and author of the best-selling 2016 book Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis, will speak at Miami University Regionals’ annual Alex and Lena Casper Memorial Lecture on March 9 at 7 p.m., in the Dave Finkelman Auditorium, Middletown Campus. This free and open to the public lecture, titled “From Middletown to the Bestseller List: The Reality of the American Dream”, will be followed by a book signing, with books available for sale.

The Shamrock Shuffle, benefiting the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty, is a 5k/10k event and Community Block Party hosting more than 5000 attendees on The Square @ Union Centre in West Chester. Proceeds support the Community Foundation’s Community Grants Fund and ongoing operations, as well as, the many different nonprofit organizations who register a team through the Shuffle Gives Back program.

The “Fairfield Fantastic Race!” is an exciting, interactive “extreme” scavenger hunt in the Village Green area. Participant teams earn points by completing as many challenges during the race as possible. Prizes will be awarded to teams with the most points and for team spirit! Cost is $20 for age13-adult, $15 for ages 12-8, Free for 7and under. Proceeds benefit youth empowerment through Fairfield Prevention Coalition.
