Senator Coley receiving Legislator of the Year from the American Kennel Club

Senator Bill Coley was recently named Legislator of the Year Award from American Kennel Club for his outstanding Pets on the Patio law.   The passage of Senate Bill 182 gives business owners the option to make their establishments a more dog friendly environment for their customers.

Currently, public health laws prohibit animals on the premises of restaurants and other food service establishments. This bill will continue to ensure that all such businesses remain clean and sanitary, but will allow each individual business owner to decide whether or not to allow the businesses’ customers to have a well behaved dog accompany them.

Dogs and Dog Owners alike thank Senator Coley for his efforts!
