Dr. John Lewis (The Presbyterian Church) Leading the Way of The Cross service.

The way of the Cross

On Friday, March 30th Butler Countians from all Christian based denominations will gather at Noon downtown Hamilton to remember the Way of the Cross. The Way of the Cross event began nearly two decades ago. An idea developed by Dr. John Lewis of the Presbyterian Church on Front Street in Hamilton Ohio. This annual event allows believers of all faiths to unite and remember the suffering and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s an event that helps believers experience the Way to the Cross. Hundreds will gather and walk from station to station on the streets of downtown Hamilton singing, praying, and experiencing community.  Volunteers take turns carrying a large wooden cross to each station. The gathering begins at Noon on Good Friday at the Butler County Courthouse and will last about one hour. For more details visit this link- https://www.facebook.com/events/335892383586080/
