Hamilton Residents Encouraged to Attend Diversity Cafes
By: Jeff Gambrell
HAMILTON – The Diversity Lens Task Force, a subcommittee of the City of Hamilton’s Diversity & Inclusion Commission, invites residents to participate in their Diversity Cafes. The cafes will function as one hour public input sessions allowing community members an opportunity to provide feedback on a range of questions as they relate to their respective identity. The purpose is to gather information to be used in developing Hamilton’s first Diversity Lens, a tool for local businesses and organizations to utilize for creating inclusive spaces for the underrepresented community. Residents are encouraged to attend one or more of the cafes as they focus on: African Americans, Hispanics, Individuals w/ Developmental Disabilities, and Women.
