It’s time to get treated — or do a trick if desired.
The ghosts, goblins, and frankly … the Fortnite fans (that’s the most popular Halloween costume for 2018 searched on Google) … will be out and about seeking candy in local neighborhoods Oct. 31. Here are the beggar’s night times for the region:
Hamilton: 6 to 8 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31
Middletown: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31
Liberty Twp.: 6 to 8 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31
West Chester Twp.: 6 to 8 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31
Oxford: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31
Madison Twp.: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31
Fairfield: 6 to 8 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31
Fairfield Twp.: 6 to 8 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31
Trenton: 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31
Monroe: 6 to 8 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31
Ross: 6 to 8 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31
Anyone who isn’t trick-or-treating has options for celebrating the spooky holiday. A new release of “Halloween” the movie is showing at the Holiday Auto Theatre on Old Oxford Road in Hamilton and at movie theaters throughout Butler County.
Oct. 31 is the last day to check out Jack-O-Lantern Junction at EnterTrainment Junction in West Chester Twp. There’s an indoor pumpkin patch, and kids will receive a free mini-pumpkin.
Burwinkle Farms on Hamilton-Cleves Road in Ross Township is offering fall fun for Halloween — from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with the final day being Oct. 31.
For those who prefer to stay indoors on Halloween night, Northgate Mall in Colerain Twp. (Hamilton County) is offering trick-or-treating during “Mall-O-Ween” from 4 to 7 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31. There will be candy booths stationed throughout the mall and it’s free. The event will also include a costume contest.

After Fortnite-inspired costumes, the most popular searches online for this Halloween season include superheroes such as Spider-Man and Wonder Woman. Other popular searches for costumes include the usuals: unicorns, witches, dinosaurs, princesses and more. Pirates and rabbits have been heavily searched, too.
