For nineteen years The Fairfield Ohio Police department has been under the command of Chief Mike Dickey. On February 26th, 2018, Mike Dickey retired from service. Mike has been in law enforcement for 50 years.  Community leaders, elected officials, business leaders, and citizens attended a retirement reception for the Chief. The event was hosted at the Fairfield Community Art Center. While at the helm of the department Mike oversaw the building of the Fairfield Ohio Justice Center. Mike inserts “the project was completed early and finished under budget.” But Mike’s proudest accomplishment is “taking a good department and making it great.” The department earned many outstanding awards and citations under Chief Dickey’s leadership. The City of Fairfield has promoted Lt. Maynard to Chief of Police.
