Booker T. Washington Center Celebrates Black History

On Saturday, February 29th, The Booker T. Washington Center will celebrate Black History Month by hosting a free luncheon and art exhibit. The event is free and open to the community. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy an art exhibition and lunch. The menu includes traditional food such as pinto beans and cornbread. This free event is scheduled from 11 am- 2 pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet staff and Board members of the Booker T Washington Center. The Center is located at 1140 S Front St, Hamilton, OH.

About the Booker T. Washington Center

In an operational collaboration with the Great Miami Valley YMCA, the Booker T. Washington Community Center has 13 acres of premier parkland. Foundation Field sits behind the BTWCC along with one little league baseball field. A basketball court, tennis court, playground system, and shelter houses help to create the outside park amenities that can be enjoyed by the entire family. Inside the BTWCC are several meeting rooms, a game room, a full-court gymnasium, a computer lab, a full commercial kitchen, and an indoor swimming pool. The BTWCC can be rented by the general public for birthday parties, business meetings or other functions. The BTWCC staff also implements a wide variety of seasonal programs and activities for all ages to enjoy throughout the year.
