Hamilton’s Christkindlmarkt is an annual authentic German Christmas market held the first weekend in December in the historic German Village district of Hamilton, Ohio. There will be German food, cookies, beer, games, and music along with a variety of local vendors selling Christmas-themed items.
2017 will be Hamilton’s 5th annual Christkindlmarkt, and will have the following hours:
Friday, December 1: 6-10pm
Saturday, December 2: 11am-10pm
Sunday, December 3: 11am-6pm
The Children’s Lantern Parade takes place every year before Christkindlmarkt opening ceremonies. Children ages 4-11 are welcome to participate but must be accompanied by an adult. Lanterns cost $5 and can be kept after the parade.
The parade route starts at the Zion Lutheran Church (212 S. Front St.) and will proceed down Front St., across High St., and down Dayton St. to St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church (224 Dayton St.).
