Fort Hamilton Hospital Spotlight: Dr. Rick Sternberg, Pulmonology
Kettering Physician Partners is a group of physician specialists who partner with Kettering Health Network to improve the lives of the people in the communities that they serve.
One of these physicians is Dr. Richard Sternberg. Dr. Sternberg specializes in pulmonary critical care and practices as a hospice physician. He has been practicing in pulmonary and critical care in Hamilton since 1993.
Dr. Sternberg treats conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, allergies, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
Within the last several years, Dr. Sternberg has added treating patients who are at the end of life by becoming certified as a hospice physician. His compassion for patients and families and impeccable clinical skills makes him well-suited to this role that requires hard conversations and medical expertise.

Fort Hamilton Hospital has been fortunate to have the dedication to patients and the hospital that is exhibited by Dr. Sternberg. He has served in many areas of medical staff administration at Fort Hamilton, including Medical Staff President. Dr. Sternberg says that he is very proud to be part of the community within the staff that has been created at Fort Hamilton Hospital. Although he has worked at almost every facility in greater Cincinnati, he “can’t find a place to treat patients better than Fort Hamilton Hospital.” There is something special about Fort Hamilton and the care that they provide.
