Art and nature on tap at Pyramid Hill event that offers Blues, Brews & BBQ
For Butler County Connect
An upcoming event at Pyramid Hill invites guests to focus on two main things: art and nature.
The Blues, Brews & BBQ event that’s now in its third year at Pyramid Hill will have a host of vendors, blues bands, craft beer tasting and more.
Families are encouraged to attend, and activities will occur at the park’s pavilion.
“Our Blues, Brews & BBQ has grown tremendously over the past couple years. People are really looking forward to enjoying this type of event at the park,” said Shaun Higgins, director of park operations.
“We are about art and nature,” Higgins said. “What could be better than enjoying the art of blues, craft beer, and slow-cooked barbecue in the setting of nature surrounded by monumental sculpture?”
Music kicks off with Joe Wannabe at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 14. Other bands include The SoulFixers at 4:30 p.m., Ben Levin, and the Heaters at 6 p.m. and Jay Jesse Johnson at 7:30 p.m.
Jimmy D. Rogers will play in the beer garden between acts, Higgins said.
Pyramid Hill partnered with the Cincy Blues Society and Cavalier Distributing for the festival.
Some of the food vendors that will be at Blues, Brews & BBQ include Neal’s Famous BBQ, Wicked Hickory, and Phenomenal Corn, among others.
