HAMILTON – The Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce sponsored a free, family-friendly event over the weekend, Hamilpalooza. This event featured more than one hundred indoor and outdoor vendors, nine food trucks, as well as live entertainment including 90 Proof Twang and students from the Butler Tech School of the Arts. Hosted at the Butler County Fairgrounds, this marked the first year of the event.

Dan Bates, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, was satisfied with the outcome.

“We are thrilled with the final product. The vendors did well, the sponsors are extremely happy and many have already committed for next year. This event was an example of quality first-time events or experiments that we are excited about as we, as an organization, evolve to meet the needs of our vast variety of members”.

An estimated 2,800 individuals attended Hamilpalooza, exceeding the expectations of the event organizers. Although the event just occurred a few days ago, Bates already plans to continue it next year.

“We will have a wrap-up meeting with the committee and talk about how the event will evolve for a repeat in 2019. I think in the future you will see even more partnerships as we potentially invite other organizations to showcase themselves at the event. Most likely the number of vendors will increase and hours of entertainment may be extended”.
