Family Events to Welcome in the Holidays

 

Looking for the magic of Christmas in Butler County?  Here are some events that are sure to put a jingle in the whole family’s step!

 

Music on Main

When:  November 17th, 5-9pm

Where:  Main St. in Hamilton (302 Main St.)

Cost:  Free!

Description:  Hang out on Main Street in Hamilton for some live music, shopping, a visit from Santa and grab something to eat from local eateries and food trucks.

Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting

When:  November 18th, Parade begins at 6:30pm (carriage rides through December 23rd)

Where:  The Park- Liberty Center in Liberty Township

Cost:  Free!

Description:  Join Liberty Center for their 1st annual holiday parade and tree lighting, Santa and friends, pictures with Santa (candids or purchased) and horse-drawn carriage rides.

Holiday Lights on the Hill

When:  November 20th-January 3rd, Mon-Thur 6-9pm, Fri-Sun 6-10pm

Where:  Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Museum

Cost:  Weekdays $20/car, Fri-Sun $25/car (Members $15 every day)

Description:  Enjoy a 2-mile drive-thru display of holiday lights through Candy Cane Lane.

Hamilton Welcomes the Holidays

When:  November 18st, 5pm

Where:  Butler County Courthouse Square (Downtown Hamilton)

Cost:  Free!

Description:  Families are welcome to enjoy the tree lighting, visit Santa and shop local stores downtown.

Light Up Middletown

When:  November 26th-December 31st, 6-10pm, Santa and Mrs. Claus Fri-Sat 7-9pm through Dec 19th

Where:  Smith Park (Middletown)

Cost:  Admittance by cash donation

Description: Load up the car and enjoy this drive-thru light show with multiple themes.

Niederman Family Farm Christmas Walk

When:  November 27th-December 30th, Sun-Thur 6-9pm, Fri-Sat 6-10pm

Where:  Liberty Township-Niederman Family Farm

Cost:  Free! (donations accepted)

Description:  Handicap accessible musical, lighted walk display followed by hot chocolate and cookies with live, local entertainment.

Christkindlmarkt

When:  December 1st– 6-10pm, 2nd– 11am-10pm, 3rd– 11am-6pm

Where:  Courtyard Marriot, Hamilton

Cost:  Free!

Description:  Ring in Christmas German style!  Food, music, authentic market and of course…beer!

Breakfast with Santa in Liberty Township

When:  December 2nd, 8:30-10:30am

Where:  Liberty Heights Church (7904 Princeton Road)

Cost:  $10/adults, $5/seniors, Kids are free!

Description:  All member of the family will enjoy this even with crafts, balloon artists, face-painters, living statues, along with breakfast with Santa Claus.  Don’t forget to bring your camera!

3rd Annual Hamilton Christmas Gift Show

When:  December 2nd, 10am

Where:  Butler County Fairgrounds

Cost:  Free!

Description:  Get your Christmas shopping done here with dozens of craft booths and local vendors.

German Village Christmas Walk

When:  December 3rd, 12-5pm

Where:  Hamilton (2nd and 3rd streets)

Cost:  Free!

Description:  Enjoy the architecture, house tours, musicians, and vendors while you walk through the German Village.

 

Brilliant Bebb- Illuminated Pioneer Village

When:  December 4th-6th, 6-9pm

Where:  Governor Bebb MetroPark in Okeana

Cost:  $10/family vehicle, $20/group of 15+

Description:  Come see lights, luminaries and live music along with pioneer cooking demonstrations.

Holiday Lights- Bridgewater Falls

When:  December 5th, 5-7pm

Where:  Bridgewater Falls in Fairfield Township

Cost:  Free!

Descriptions:  This family event has a petting zoo, live entertainment, carriage rides, free gifts for kids, all while waiting for Santa’s fire truck!

Oxford Holiday Festival

When:  December 5th, 11am-8:30pm

Where:  Oxford Community Arts Center and Uptown Parks

Cost:  Free!

Description: Live entertainment begins at noon, along with a visit from Santa and craft fair.  Listen to live holiday music as you shop your way through local businesses.

 

Olde West Chester Christmas Walk Parade and Community Tree Lighting

Nighttime holiday parade in Olde West Chester November 18th.

The parade begins at 7 p.m. and runs along Cincinnati-Dayton Road to the West Chester Township Administration Building, where the community tree lighting will take place around 8 p.m.

The Merchants of Olde West Chester host a free, family-friendly community event during the day beginning at 2 p.m. along Cincinnati Dayton Road. Holiday-inspired activities include photos with Santa, shopping, kids’ games and crafts, a petting zoo, horse-and-wagon rides, food and beverage, live music and more.
